RIP John Mayall

Norm's good friend John Mayall passed away the other day, he was the godfather of British blues. John gave so many guitarist their initial exposure including my friend Rick Vito. When Rick and Norm used to play at the Topanga Coral, occasionally John would come up and sit in with the band. John also played for the Midnight Mission as a favor to Norm, and we would be forever grateful. Rest in peace, godfather!
