Motivation 00:40

The YouTube channel called Skarner Top inspired me to play him. Although there were few videos, I loved that strategy and how easily Skarner could achieve a permacc with just a few items. Skarner Top decided to stop making videos, so following his inspiration, I decided to make these videos myself. I started uploading them once I reached diamond so that my videos could be taken more seriously.


About Skarner 01:07

Speaking of Skarner, he truly is a great champion, versatile in every aspect. You could follow any type of build and make it work easily. Personally, I always liked playing him with Sheen. In my opinion, he's the best champion by far to make the most of this item.


Changes and Adaptation in Later Seasons 01:35

At the start of season 11, with the changes to items and ability haste, it shattered me inside. It wasn't as easy to get that 45% CDR with simple components anymore. I was stuck until mid-season 11 when I realized the potential of the Manamune item. From the first time I used it, I couldn't believe the difference in damage it had compared to the regular build, literally triple the damage. Later on, I paid more attention to the Divine Sunderer item, which I hadn't given much thought to because I thought Trinity Force was much better. But looking at it closely and seeing that magical and physical penetration was perfect for Skarner, as well as the life and sustain of the item. Here's the best build for Skarner, Sunderer Manamune, and then Thornmail, one of the best items, because stunning Immobilizing enemy champions also applies 60% Grievous Wounds for 2 seconds, which was modified in season 13.


Perception and Gaming Experience 02:53

Things I adored about Skarner off-meta and in-game is that he was completely forgotten by all players. I'm almost sure that around 95% of my games, no one on my team was sure what each of Skarner's abilities did, and they only knew about his ult. Beyond that, being the least popular champion makes him a champion selected by few. Those few really know how to play him. It's not a complicated champion, but I mean, those who use him are probably mains. What I mean is that thanks to this, I always had the freedom to play him in each and every one of my games. I never got banned or picked the champion in my life, which in turn meant that he didn't receive any changes to his abilities since patch 10.16/10.15, which were both adjustments that buffed him.


Recent Changes 03:43

To be honest, since season 14 started and they removed my favorite items like Everfrost and Divine Sunderer, Skarner hasn't felt the same, and honestly, I felt he was VERY weak. Or simply, I didn't dedicate myself to finding a better build or exploring new item mechanics since the rework announcement that came at the end of March.


Reflections on Skarner 04:02

Honestly, I always felt that Skarner was a very complete champion, maybe lacking a bit of engage. But beyond that, he had a lot of damage, a lot of CC, very tanky, shield, suppression, and a lot of movement speed. A champion that should have been studied better.


Game Modes 4:30

For game modes, Skarner was extremely fun and broken. In Arena, he could easily stack all the stackable upgrades very quickly with his Q, and then for URF, despite the stun being nerfed, it was permanent.


Opinion on the New Skarner 4:50

I haven't talked about the new Skarner yet, who yes, visually looks much better and more powerful, but I feel that the essence of the champion has been lost a lot. Before, he wasn't a monster like now, many changes in lore that honestly I liked a lot and made Skarner seem very essential in Runeterra, and the sudden change to Ixtal doesn't sit well with me at all, nor does it being so big for no apparent reason.
