বালু ব্যাবসায়ী জিলানী এন্টারপ্রাইজের স্বত্বাধিকারী আব্দুল কাদির জিলানী নালিতাবাড়ী উপজেলার নির্বাহী কর্মকর্তা মাসুদ রানার বিরুদ্ধে বিভিন্ন অনিয়মের অভিযোগ এনে সংবাদ সম্মেলনের জন্য জেলার প্রিন্ট ও ইলেকট্রনিক মিডিয়ার সাংবাদিকদের তার নিজ বাস ভবনে ডাকেন। সংবাদ সম্মেলনের একপর্যায়ে সহকারী কমিশনার ভূমি ও ইউএনও মাসুদ রানা স্ব- শরীরে পুলিশ ফোর্স নিয়ে সংবাদ সম্মেলনের স্থানে উপস্থিত হয়ে সাংবাদিকদের সামনে থেকে বালু ব্যবসায়ী জিলানী ও অপর ব্যবসায়ী হারুন অর রশীদকে সংবাদ সম্মেলন করার অপরাধে আটক করতে আসেন। এসময় সাংবাদিকরা তার বিরুদ্ধে কোন গ্রেফতারী পরোয়ানা আছে কিনা সেটি জানতে চাইলে ইউএনও বিষয়টি পরে জানানো হবে সাংবাদিকদের জানান।
