Introducing our new 1400A Ultrawide Angle Video Camera

Dr. Greg Gulbransen lobbied for what would be called the Cameron Gulbransen Kids and Cars Safety Act, which was named after his son who was killed when he was backing his truck into the driveway. It was passed into law in 2007.

Part of the Act, known as Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard – or FMVSS-111 -- requires vehicles weighing 10,000 pounds or less to have an unobstructed 20-degree field of view directly behind the driver. That translates to a space 10 by 20 feet behind the rear bumper.

At Convoy Technologies, our mission is to make sure everyone operating in and around commercial vehicles gets home safe. So, while we deal with trucks that weigh a lot more than 10,000 pounds all the time, we’re delighted to offer a camera that meets the FMVSS-111 standard.
