The worlds then-oldest WOMBAT, Patrick, celebrates his 30th birthday! - The Project

Patrick is (edit - was in 2015) the oldest known wombat and just (Aug2015) celebrated his 30TH BIRTHDAY! In the wild wombats typically only last 10-15yrs. You can meet him at Ballarat Wildlife Park (http://www.wildlifepark.com.au), and he actually came 3rd in a US survey of the worlds best city animal mascots! His Facebook page is at   / patrickthewombat   and this sensitive new-age wombat even has his own Tinder account now.

This means that the world's oldest wombat is now WINNIE at Canberra's National Zoo - she celebrated her 31st bday on the 16th Dec 2017. May she live long and prosper!
