My First Pregnancy Ended in a Missed Miscarriage [Storytime]

Описание к видео My First Pregnancy Ended in a Missed Miscarriage [Storytime]

Over the course of the last few months life has changed for us drastically! First, we found out we were pregnant after years of trying with no luck and thinking it was not possible. We found out at 6 weeks!

We had our first baby appointment at 8 weeks, and it was honestly just peeing in a cup and answering a few questions to get an estimated expectancy date.

Week 10 was transvaginal ultrasound week and the words “No fetal heartbeat detected” stood out on the report so vividly and I immediately knew that I had a miscarriage. What shocked me the most is that there were no signs at all, this is called a missed miscarriage.

The baby stopped developing at 8 weeks and 6 days. After finding out, I decided to give it another week to allow the baby to come out naturally, nothing happened so, at the end of week 11 I scheduled the D&C.

Week 12 I had the D&C procedure done to remove everything from my body and prevent me from getting an infection and becoming sepsis. It was also bothering me psychologically because I was starting to experience denial really badly.

The procedure was easy, I don’t remember a thing. The emotional components of this experience are what I know will stick with me forever.

Through it all, I gained so much strength!! I’m proud of how I handled it and how I sprung into action when I first found out. I have made a few life changes, and we’re planning to try again!

If you or someone you know has experienced this or if they are currently experiencing it, please share this with them so they know they are not alone. I felt really alone in the process until I shared a post in Instagram and the response was so uplifting!

Here is the post: https://www.instagram.com/reel/CejUAN...

Remember this is MY STORY – MINE! There are millions of women with similar stories but they will all be different. I encourage you the be there for them and remind them to give themselves some grace! Tell them to allow themselves time to grieve because a loss is a loss.

Thank you for watching! Don’t forget to like, comment, & subscribe!
