Created by and starring Cindy Chu, and directed by Nicole Gomez Fisher, “Queens” is a brash comedy that follows the friendship of three Asian American Queens natives as they struggle to accept adulting isn’t what their immigrant parents taught them it’d be. Best friends, Sarah (Chu), Kim (Spring Inés Peña) and Gia (Carolina Do) learn that relationship goals and career achievements don’t necessarily equate to success, and experience the complicated intersection of being first and second generation Asian Americans.


Director Biography - Nicole Gomez Fisher

Nicole Gomez Fisher is a writer, director and producer from Brooklyn, NY. Her feature film “Sleeping with the Fishes,” starred Golden Globe Winner Gina Rodriguez, Steven Strait and Ana Ortiz. “Fishes” aired on HBO from 2014-2016, and can currently be seen on Amazon Prime Video and Vudu. Nicole is a 3 time nominee for Best Director and 2 time winner for Best Director at the Brooklyn Film Festival, and the Imagen Awards founded by legendary television producer Norman Lear.
