How to Build Modern Ambient Trap Melodies | Trap Production Basics in Cubase

Описание к видео How to Build Modern Ambient Trap Melodies | Trap Production Basics in Cubase

In this music production video, Venus Theory looks at building modern ambient trap melodies in Steinberg Cubase with its built-in plugins. He starts with a basic Wurlitzer sound, adding some reverb and then rendering it as a lossless audio file. To transform the sound, he reverses and applies time stretch, changing the algorithm to lower the sample pitch for a dark and ambient, smoother sound, then adding tremolo, vibrato for a tape warble effect and a short reverb. Finally and overdrive are added in stereo for a nice, wide washed out character. The sound is then imported into Groove Agent and sliced, each slice allocated to different pads and amended to your taste. Any clicks at the beginning of each slice can be removed by slight adjustments to the ADSR envelope. The original sound and melody are unrecognisable, making a fascinating new sound design element for your trap production
