Swamp Milkweed: Plant Care & Harvesting Seeds! Asclepias incarnata

My Swamp Milkweed (Asclepias incarnata) plants are about 4 years old now, and they have allowed me to provide valuable nectar for pollinators. I see more biodiversity on these plants than anything else in my garden! Being this established they also produce a MASSIVE quantity of seeds which allows me to share! Every time I have a booth at an event you'll find me giving these seeds away! And last year I gave seeds to my trick-or-treaters at Halloween and it was a HUGE HIT! When the kids realized that they could grow flowers to help the butterflies their faces lit up like it was Christmas morning! So much better than candy!

This species of Milkweed is a wonderful addition to any garden! It does not spread by roots, so aside from blowing seeds it does stay where it's planted and behaves itself nicely.

Let me know if you want multiple packs, but please limit it to one pack per household. There are usually at least 40 seeds in each pack so there are plenty to share, and in 2 years you'll have more seeds than you know what to do with - so you can share them even farther!

Remember, all I'm asking is
🌸 1 - That you PLANT the seeds so they don't go to waste. Planting instructions are included as well as a QR code to my video about how to care for Swamp Milkweed.
🚫 2 - That you will NOT SPRAY any pesticides on or near these plants. The risk to monarchs and other pollinators (this plant attracts a LOT of different insects) is too great to justify the convenience of a pesticide.

The last few years people have been getting serious about planting Milkweed - and it's working! The numbers are still fluctuating, but there have been a couple years with Monarch populations going up! Keep planting!
