Hope Against Hope Waste Pickers | Workers Of The World Unite

We see them, everywhere, almost everyday. In the morning they are inevitably outside our doors and houses. It is rather incredible how little we think about their role in our lives.
If waste pickers and garbage collectors were to not show up for work just for a week, our cities and towns will be overwhelmed beyond imagination. Not just that, they are one of the first line of warriors in humanity's battle for Climate Justice.
This is their story. This is a reminder of how much value they bring and how little they have. This is a reminder of how critical it is to for all of us to fight for their social, economic, and political security and dignity.
