Tensions have flared between Israelis and Palestinians at the annual March of the Flags in Jerusalem. Thousands of right-wing Israelis have marched through the streets of Jerusalem into the Muslim quarter of the Old City, to mark Israel's capture of East Jerusalem in 1967. The Jewish celebration is seen by Palestinians as a direct provocation, as some Israelis in the crowd chanted racists slogans, including "death to Arabs".
