Lyrics:
Doors whisper secrets,
and I keep finding keys that weren’t meant for me.
Found a door with a bone-made lock,
Scratched with nails that the years forgot.
Voice in the wall said “turn that clock,”
“You were born in blood don’t you stop.”
Air so still, it could choke a flame,
Floorboards hum when they say my name.
One wrong step and it’s all the same,
Shadow of me starts to play that game.
Paint peeled back where the truth got grown,
Words in the cracks, but the voice ain’t known.
Key turned slow and the walls all groan,
Stepped through shame like it was my home.
Can’t unsee what the dark lets show,
Cold breath hums like a radio.
I’m in a maze that I can’t outgrow,
Every hallway hums, “you know… you know.”
There are rooms you shouldn’t enter,
Names that break your tongue.
Dreams that twist and splinter,
When the wrong bell’s rung.
But I opened it (opened it),
And found what I’d become.
Crib still sits where the light used to bleed,
Dust coats toys that forgot how to need.
Photo blinked twice, grin on freeze,
Like she knew my soul by the sound of the breeze.
Floorboards hum when I breathe too loud,
Every creak feels like a ghost in the crowd.
Walls drip words I was never allowed
(And they whisper now...) “You’re proud, you’re proud.”
Caught myself in a static screen,
Thirteen years old, but my stare obscene.
Next to me stood something mean,
Wrapped in code like a bad machine.
It smiled wide like it learned my fear,
Said “you built me, now I’m here.”
Hands on glass, but the glass too clear,
And the room just said, “you disappear.”
“I tried to protect you...”
“I tried to forget you...”
“You locked it away...”
“Now it’s part of you...”
(It’s part of you...)
There are rooms you shouldn’t enter,
Names that burn when prayed.
Dreams that twist and splinter,
When the truth’s betrayed.
But I opened it
And found what I’d thrown away.
Now the door won’t close.
Now the room won’t fade.
I found the ghost...
and I gave it my name.
(Gave it my name...)
