Nearly Perfect Coach's Corner (1998)

This is actually a really great old Coach's Corner from November of 1998.

Has just about every element of a typical Coach's Corner.

With Remembrance Day coming up Don makes sure that everyone is wearing a poppy and then follows that up with a particularly gruesome war story.

He briefly talks about how to properly block a shot. He then launches into his tirade about how Gretzky needs a guy like Dave Semenko around.

He then takes some time to talk up Kingston boy Doug Gilmour blocking shots with a black eye.

He then rips the Leafs for not signing Wendel Clark saying if his name was "Igor" he would have been there for sure to which Ron McLean responds "I'm not touching that".

He goes on to predict that Clark will score 30-35 goals for Tampa Bay (he ended up with 28 goals in 65 games that year).

He finishes with the unfortunate story of Jeff Kugel getting a lifetime suspension from the OHL and throws in a bunch of examples of how well he used to treat his enforcers when he coached.
