Ben's Stem Cell Transplant - a children's guide to stem cell transplants

Описание к видео Ben's Stem Cell Transplant - a children's guide to stem cell transplants

Our animation 'Ben’s stem cell transplant' tells the story of Ben who has a donor (allogeneic) stem cell transplant to help young children to understand what might happen. It follows Ben through preparing for the transplant, during treatment, managing side effects, exploring emotions and what happens when he comes home. We have developed this resource with input from families and our expert members. The animation is based on our booklet, 'Ben’s stem cell transplant' which was developed with input from families and our expert members.

Booklet reviewed by Julie guest, Stem Cell Transplant Nurse Practitioner, Great North Children’s Hospital, Newcastle, on behalf of the CCLG Information Advisory Group comprising multiprofessional experts in the field of children’s cancer, as well as parents and survivors.
