Aligarh Muslim University: A Legacy of Persian Language and Culture in India | Marina Zaffari

Описание к видео Aligarh Muslim University: A Legacy of Persian Language and Culture in India | Marina Zaffari

Hey everyone! Welcome to the third episode of my series "Persian Language Heritage in India." This time, I’m visiting the amazing Aligarh Muslim University (AMU). Founded way back in 1877, AMU has been a key player in keeping the Persian language and its rich literary treasures alive in India.

In this video, I’ll show you the incredible Maulana Azad Library, home to thousands of rare Persian manuscripts, and talk about the university’s role in promoting Persian studies. I also got to learn about the inspiring work of Professor Azarmi Dukht Safavi, who’s been leading efforts to preserve and share the beauty of this language.

Join me as I explore the history, culture, and ongoing efforts to keep Persian alive at this iconic university. Don’t miss the next episode where I’ll head to Punjab for more Persian heritage stories!

Hit like, share this journey, and subscribe to my channel to keep exploring with me! 😊
