2025 Porsche Taycan GTS Unveiled!

The modifications for the 2025 Porsche Taycan, which is going into its second generation, are more akin to a mid-cycle upgrade than a total redesign. Porsche's electric sedan and wagon now come in new trim levels, while the GTS and Taycan 4 models now offer more choices.

Porsche has boosted the more performance-oriented GTS to an exhilarating 690 horsepower when the overboost function is used. Compared to the previous generation, this is a considerable 100 horsepower increase. The Sport Chrono option, which now comes standard on the GTS, has a push-to-pass button that increases output by 93 horsepower for 10 seconds, providing more kick when needed. Both the sedan and the more roomy Sport Turismo model reach the 60-mile-per-hour mark in 3.1 seconds thanks to this power boost, which cuts the GTS's time by 0.4 seconds. About 0.7 seconds faster than before, the car completes the quarter-mile sprint in 11.1 seconds.

Porsche's premium positioning is reflected in the price of these enhancements. The Sport Turismo costs $151,795, including a $1,995 destination fee, while the GTS sedan costs $149,895. Compared to their predecessors, both models are roughly $8,945 more costly. Furthermore, the Taycan 4 is now offered as a sedan, increasing the number of options for those seeking all-wheel-drive at a more affordable price. With the normal battery, this Taycan model produces 402 horsepower; with an improved battery, that number rises to 429 horsepower. With launch control, the Taycan 4 is somewhat faster than the rear-wheel-drive model, going from zero to sixty miles per hour in 4.4 seconds.

The Taycan 4 sedan from Porsche is priced at $105,295 and comes equipped with standard features like matrix LED headlights, adjustable air suspension, and a 10-speaker sound system. Taycan sales have been weak worldwide, especially in China, in spite of these upgrades. During the first nine months of this year, Porsche delivered just 14,042 cars, a 50% decrease from the same time in 2023.
