Parkwood Railway - YGRS 2020

Описание к видео Parkwood Railway - YGRS 2020

It may be technically incorrect to call this a railway, because it’s actually three (or more!) railways in one garden.
In this video you’ll find out how the railway came about. A 2½ inch gauge system runs around the perimeter of the garden. Then along came the 32mm gauge system, closely followed by the 45mm gauge system … and as if all this wasn’t already enough, a mixed gauge 32 / 45mm system was then added!
Most people would have had the sense to stop there, but “nothing ventured” as they say.
The final stage was to add track power to the system so that live steam, battery powered and track powered locos can operate over the railway (but not necessarily all at the same time) … and, of course, both analogue and digital track powered systems had to be catered for.
Play the video and find out why and how all this was achieved and the challenges of building, maintaining and operating the railway.
Was it all worth it? Decide for yourself as you watch the trains go by …
