Miniature Jukebox Fronts for our Model Railroad Sound System

Описание к видео Miniature Jukebox Fronts for our Model Railroad Sound System

This week Karyn is making false fronts for our model railroad background sound system. Just to dress them up so they don't look quite as utilitarian!

Karyn makes stuff like this by printing them out on the computer from photos or the internet and then cuts the prints out and folds and glues them into shapes.

The little jukeboxes will be mounted to the front or underside of the layout once the layout is mounted to the wall. For now, we have built just this one system, but the plan calls for about 5 of these systems around the layout.

This system plays three sounds, day birds, night frogs and crickets, and a jukebox party from Gus Rich's Lake Shore Lodge across the tracks.

We have been helped with the sound systems by Mark Howe, a subscriber here on the channel who has given a workshop on the subject at several conventions. He directed us to the Adafruit Sound Board. A simple way to store up to about 12 minutes of sound that can be triggered from up to 11 triggers.
