From a 1940 Ford Motor Company kit, this is Part 2 of a filmstrip (or "slidefilm") produced for dealers and salesmen entitled "Mercury Meets His Namesake". It compares the 1940 Mercury 8 to other automobiles in the same class at the time, including a Pontiac and a Buick. It is a blend of live-action photography and cartoon-style artistry.
At $1,272, the convertible sedan was the most costly Mercury 8 of that model year, selling for almost $200 more than the convertible coupe.

This presentation is uploaded for historical and archival purposes.

"Take brakes for example. With a braking area of 162 square inches, the Mercury has an advantage over all the other cars in this group."
"That's a big break for Mercury owners!"
"Ooh, what a pun!"
