Sports are an essential part of the growth and development of a child. Hence, it forms an important part of the education we pursue at Sherwood High.

Sports not only brings joy and builds team spirit; it also enhances the physical strength of the students. Modern research has also proven that physical activities also help in improving the children’s academic performance.

At Sherwood High, our students regularly pursue various kinds of sports at all levels. We organise Sports Day activities that bring together students, parents and teachers in an atmosphere of fun, frolic and camaraderie.

Recently, we conducted Sports Day for our students from Nursery to Grade II. The event commenced with the March Past led by the Sports Captain, Sports Vice-Captain, Head Boy and Head Girl. The students of Grades I and II followed in close synchronization according to their houses. The fun parade by the students of Nursery to UKG added colour to the whole event.

Each class had a drill display and a fun game. The students performed very well and they were given medals to encourage their efforts.

The event concluded with a game for our energetic and enthusiastic parents.
