Welcome to Smackdown! We open our show with singles action between the U.S. Women's Champion Victoria and Nikki Cross. Over the last few weeks, Victoria has been avoiding the one person who has beaten her since becoming Champion, Shotzi Blackheart. But victoria can only avoid her for so long. At Evolution, these two will face each other where the U.S Women's Championship will be on the line.

After this match, we head to the backstage area where Becky Lynch informs us that she should be the one facing Auska at evolution but instead, she needs to battle in a gauntlet match later tonight to solidify that contendership.
