This video takes a deep dive into the life of Antonio Espejo. He was a Spanish Explorer who is given credit for exploring New Mexico as it was in 1582.. The boundaries have certainly changed since then which gives credence to the published stories and tales from that period.

Antonio came alive for us when his signature was discovered on a map that was procured and given to one of our old friends, Steve Shaffer. What was odd is that Antonio signed the map around 1588 when he was supposed to be dead in Cuba in 1585.

This video keeps me asking more questions on Antonio even tough I helped create it. There were many subject that were brought up only to be shelved in the category of , "We can talk about that later or in another video.

I must apologize for such a long video. I couldn't find a logical place to split the video without making it sloppy for the reader. I must also admit that I got caught up in the research an controversy which made diving into his life very interesting.
