Software used is XFLR5 : http://www.xflr5.tech/xflr5.htm for Mac and PC. I think it's free too! You need some reasonable airplane/aerodynamics knowledge to use it.

I also recommend 'The Illustrated guide to Aerodynamics' by Hubert Smith, as great way to get started with airplane design.
