Internationally acclaimed architect, educator and writer Juhani Pallasmaa has authored more than forty books relating to the multi sensory and existential dimensions of experiencing art and architecture. His is the former Rector of the Institute of Design, Helsinki; Dean of the Faculty of Architecture at the Helsinki University of Technology; and Director of the Museum of Finnish Architecture. He has had visiting professorships at a number of North American universities and lectured and conducted workshops at numerous universities across the globe.
