On December 5, 2023, Phi Beta Kappa will hosted a virtual conversation with National Women's History Museum President Frédérique Irwin and staff. The event, "The Power of Story: Perspectives from the National Women's History Museum," is also a collaboration with the Baltimore Phi Beta Kappa Association to promote virtual events with engaging conversations to ΦBK members across the country.

Irwin will speak with moderator and ΦBK senator, Dolores Durán-Cerda on the museum's mission, purpose, current exhibits, and future plans through the lens of storytelling and inclusive history. Learn more about the museum at www.womenshistory.org.

Dolores Durán-Cerda, Ph.D.
Interim Chancellor, Pima Community College and ΦBK Senator
Dolores Durán-Cerda, Ph.D., is Interim Chancellor at Pima Community College. She is the first Latina to lead Pima. For six years she served as Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, overseeing all academic areas of the College. Dr. Durán-Cerda focuses on student success, community engagement, and instilling a Culture of Caring at the College. She earned her Ph.D. in Latin American Literature, with an emphasis in poetry, from the University of Arizona. She is the proud daughter of Mexican and Chilean immigrants.

Frédérique Campagne Irwin, MBA
President and CEO, National Women's History Museum
Frédérique Irwin is the President and CEO of the National Women's History Museum. Prior to her time with NWHM, she served as Managing Director of Impact Strategy at the Sorenson Impact Center, where she managed high-level partnerships and led initiatives around improving equity in higher education and women in entrepreneurship. In 2012, she founded Her Corner, a company educating women on how to scale their businesses. Her work supporting women earned her a spot as a New Zealand Edmund Hillary Fellow. She also taught at the Kogod School of Business at American University.
