The Ghanaian reggae/dancehall artiste known as Rudebwoy Ranking has reportedly passed away. According to sources from Joy Entertainment, he died on Monday, April 24, 2023, in the early hours of the morning at Ridge Hospital in Accra, where he had been taken for treatment. Rudebwoy was managed by Bullgod at one point and had several popular songs, including 'Jah Over Dem,' 'No Drama,' 'Yaro,' 'Level Up,' and 'My Time.' He was a passionate and dedicated musician who had a talent for turning sensitive social issues into strong lyrics that flowed well with dancehall-reggae beats. Rudebwoy Ranking was 31 years old as of November 2022, having been born on March 18, 1991. He learned dancehall music while living in the Nima slums in Accra and started performing at dancehall concerts nationwide in 2015. He won the Discovery of the Year award at the 2015 Bass Awards and launched his debut album, Elevation-Time, on September 12, 2016. He worked with many well-known Ghanaian artists and received multiple nominations and awards for his work. Rudebwoy Ranking's popular songs include 'Smoke My Sorrow,' 'Dambanza,' 'Gbelemo,' 'Holy Ghost Fire,' 'Pain Dem,' and 'Jah Over Dem.' He had not been in the limelight since his last release until news of his death broke in the Ghanaian music industry.
