Po opuszczeniu Bombay Beach skierowalem sie w strone Slab City.Poza obrzezami tej miejscowosci znajduje sie fromacja skalna, na ktorej sa wymalowane teksty i przeslania biblijne, potocznie nazywana Salvation Mountain (Gora Zbawienia).Prace nad tym wzniesieniem skalnym rozpoczal Leonard Knight w 1984.r, ktory jak stwierdzil,podczas swojej modlitwy otrzymal takie polecenie od Boga. Do tego projektu zuzyto tysiace litrow farby, az w koncu calym projektem zainteresowala sie agencja ochrony srodowiska i nawet ten projekt trafil pod obrady Kongresu w 2002 .r. Mimo wszystko projekt jest dalej utrzymywany i co jakis czas odnawiany.
Nastepnym przystankiem bylo Imperial Sand Dunes czyli takie wydmy piaskowe zalegajace na pustyni.Maja one dlugosc z polnocy na poludnie 72km , szerokosci wschod -zachod 10km.Wydmy te sa czesto wykorzystywane przez Hollywood do roznych projektach filmowych.
Pozniej mialem zamiar pojechac do opuszczonej bazy marynarki wojennej, gdzie trenowano spuszczanie bomb do celu (w tym i atomowych), a ktora lezy przy Salton Sea po jej poludniowo zachodniej stronie.Nie dojecham tam jednak, bo zakopalem sie w piasku pustynnym nawianym na malo co uczeszczana droge i juz w zlym stanie technicznym.Odkopywalem sie wlasnymi rekami, bo zadnej lopaty nie mialem, jednak bezskutecznie.Poszedlem z 2km do glownej drogi i tam natknalem sie na patrol graniczny , ktory swoim samochodem terenowym wyciagnal mnie z piasku.Ot takie przygody.

After leaving Bombay Beach, I headed towards Slab City. Outside the outskirts of this town there is a rock formation on which biblical texts and messages are painted, commonly called Salvation Mountain. Work on this rock hill was started by Leonard Knight in 1984., who, as he stated, received such a command from God during his prayer. Thousands of gallons of paint were used for this project, and eventually the Environmental Protection Agency became interested in the entire project, and even this project was considered by Congress in 2002. Despite everything, the project is still maintained and renewed from time to time.
The next stop was the Imperial Sand Dunes, which are sand dunes in the desert. They are 45 miles long from north to south and 6 miles wide from east to west. These dunes are often used by Hollywood for various film projects.
Later, I was going to go to an abandoned naval base where they trained to drop bombs (including atomic bombs), which is located near the Salton Sea on its southwestern side. However, I didn't get there because I buried myself in the desert sand on not a busy road and already in poor technical condition. I dug myself out with my own hands, because I didn't have any shovel, but to no avail. I went 1,5 miles to the main road and there I came across a border patrol who pulled me out of the sand with his off-road vehicle. Such adventures.
