Hi guys,

As promised here is my share on 5 power tips to grow edges.

I get a lot of questions on this and I hope this video will be helpful.

Please note that this is what has worked for me over time.
Being patient and consistent does pay off, this isn’t an overnight quick fix if you want real results, you have to work at it!

5 Power Tips to Grow Edges ⤵️

1⃣️ Solid Hair Routine

Having a solid hair routine/wash day is key to maintaining and growing healthy natural hair. This then automatically leads to having better edges.
Deep conditioning as mentioned previously has got massive benefits to help with hair growth and should be a must!

2⃣️ Review your Protective styles

Review what you do now that is affecting your edges and change, you can’t see different results doing the same thing.
For example protective styling (weaves, wigs, small braids, extensions) tends to add a lot of tension on the hair especially the edges, this leaves them weak and causes thinning.
Let your edges breathe from time to time and also ensure that they aren't being pulled tightly when protective styling.

3⃣️ Scalp Massages

Have a daily routine, morning and night that includes scalp massages. A quick 10–15 second scalp massage with essential and fatty oils around the edges two times a day will help to stimulate blood flow near the roots of your hair, and can help regrow thinning edges. Great oils to use are castor oil, jojoba oil, peppermint oil, tree tree oil to name a few. These oils are known to help with stimulation that aids in hair growth

4⃣️ Styling Edges

If you don’t have edges at all I would say focus on the first three tips to help grow your edges, and once you start to notice some growth, please give those edges/baby hair tender loving care.
If you’re going to protective style ie braids have your edges out as much as possible, yes they won't look as neat but you’ll be saving them trust me.

Use edge controls/Gels that actively promote hair growth.

Use hair tools that won’t snatch your edges, if they are really weak just use your hands or a really soft brush or comb to lay your edges.
Use hard bristled toothbrushes sparingly and similarly to not styling your hair everyday don’t lay your edges daily.

5⃣️ Scarf/Bonnet Protection

Use a scarf or bonnet that goes over your edges when you sleep at night.
This helps to protect your edges.
