This was my first time fishing the Coney Island pier in Brooklyn New York , I was on the hunt for some new species . I only had a few hours to fish so I decided to try using a sabiki rig and clams

Equipment used

Rod - 7 foot Tsunami Carbon Shield II spinning (Medium fast) rated 1/8 - 3/4 oz (10-20lb line)

Reel - Daiwa BG 3000 (5.6:1 gear ratio) 6+1 ball bearings

Line - 30 pound Power Pro braid

2 ounce pyramid sinker

Rig - Marathon sabiki rig size 6

Bait - Frozen salted clam
