In a world where true driving enthusiasts are a dying breed, high-strung NA engines like this are becoming scarce in favor of more "torquey" engines with consequently diluted powerbands and lower rev-limits. Despite what you may have heard, the only TRUE advantage of this torque-focused engine type is that it lets you go reasonably fast even if you have no idea how to extract real top-end power from a manual performance car.

Its easy to say that your engine has 5 liters (or whatever) and therefore doesn't NEED more than 6000rpm. Fair enough, but you must be willing to make that statement knowing that a proper 8k-redline 5-liter would make around 500 horsepower NA completely stock. Still in love with that low-end? Low-rpm NA engines sacrifice their full performance potential for no reason other than to be easier and more rewarding for a novice to drive.
