Wat Pathum Wanaram Ratcha Wora Viharn founded in 1857 by King Mongkut (Rama IV).

The temple is located in downtown Bangkok, sandwiched between the Central World and Siam Paragon, and you can easily walk there before doing your shopping at either area, nearest sky train station is "Siam".

The temple houses the ashes of Queen Savang Vadhana and Prince Mahidol (Grandmother and Father of the late King Bhumipol Adulyadej, Rama IX) in the House of Mahidol.

The temple is definitely worth a visit, also the meditation garden in the back is a great place to relax and ponder.
