GM18 Final drive, Strip, Clean and Rebuild.

Unit arrived with us as customer reported excessive noise from the unit. Customer had already carried checks and on removing the plug from the lid it was damaged so he knew something was wrong. On stripping the unit we identified that the Reamer bolts had worked loose resulting in the Planetary gears & Sun gear becoming unsecured and damaged. We then fully reconditioned the unit replacing all damaged/worn parts along with bearings and seals as standard. In addition to the repair to the reduction side, we checked the moment, no faults found, however, motor was cleaned through , and the cylinder block and valve plate lapped back into 100% contact,, all bearings and seals where also replaced. Unit back to OEM standard, and issued with a 12 months warranty
