Hey Soldier! Oh, has this been a long time coming! I'm so stoked to share my cover of "Down By The River" from Baldur's Gate 3 with you all! This game has been such a great escape for me and I'm already planning a Karlach cosplay in the near future. I was very inspired visually by Spiritbox's music videos since I've been listening to them a lot lately. I really wanted to approach this cover in a different way than I've heard before. I have so many talented friends who have done ethereal interpretations of this so I wanted to dirty things up a bit to make it my own. Singing the bridge an octave below actually happened by accident while I was tracking vocals. I was building a scratch vocal take and realized how much I enjoyed singing that part lower. I rewrote my whole arrangement and the song really took off after that. I hope you enjoy it! It's available to stream NOW everywhere!
