The Men's Health story on gynecomastia focused on three cases to document a condition that a large number of men have but that doesn't get talked about a lot. The stories of men who have gynecomastia are all different but include many similarities including years of suffering and anguish including wearing multiple shirts, not taking off their shirt in public or going to the beach or pool.

The condition affects self esteem. Many men attempt to do chest exercises vain to cover up the condition, they lose weight, they gain weight. They hunch their shoulders to cover up their chest. In the end though, surgery is ticket to freedom from gynecomastia.
