In the ongoing COVID pandemic, genomics has been at the forefront in the fight against the virus. Identification of mutations and variants is one of the most important aspects to keep a check on the pandemic. Genome Surveillance has helped the world in combating the new SARS CoV-2 including the recent XE variant. Tracking the spread of variants and evolution of the virus is essential to develop/optimise diagnostics tests and vaccines. Genotypic have developed an ultra-fast pipeline with a turnaround time of 24-48 hours right from nucleic acid isolation to Clade /variant assignment. Post-outbreak genome surveillance of any virus like Dengue, Measles, Adenovirus, Rabies etc. can be done using this pipeline.
