How to change the oil in a Kia Forte

Today I'm changing the oil and filter in a 2017 Kia Forte with the 2.0L 4 Cylinder engine. The oil change is pretty straight forward in this car. Access panels are in the skid plate. The oil filter is a traditional style located under the car. No special tools are required for this job - just a socket wrench for the drain plug and maybe a funnel for the oil to prevent a mess.
