What is a USB Load Cell?

USB load cells or USB Force Sensors can be used to measure compressive and tensile forces directly on a PC, Tablet or Raspberry Pi. USB Load Cells are powered through the USB port (5V DC) and also communicate through USB. The built in ASCII command set makes these integrated sensors software friendly and makes it easy for software programmers to create new applications.

These USB Force Sensors can be used to measure Push forces (compression), Pull forces (Tension) or Universal (both push and pull forces).

Applications of these USB forces include harness testing, battery testing, fitness, physical therapy, rehabilitation, thrust force measurement and center of gravity calculations.
