1:42 -Welcoming of the Groom – The ladies in the family sing traditional wedding songs and the groom is showered with coins, sweets and almonds and he is presented with a garland.

6:20- Vyoog Pooja - There is another round of garlanding from the girl’s relatives. Then the mother of the bride comes with a thali of small lighted lamps made of kneaded rice flour and an assortment of sweets and makes the groom and the bride eat from the same piece of sweet, a couple of times.

11:05- The jayamala ceremony is a well-known ritual during a Hindu wedding, where a bride and a groom exchange garlands, as an indication of acceptance of each other as their spouse, and a pledge to respect them throughout the rest of their lives.

18:45- Lagan – The Kashmiri wedding ceremony is known as lagan. It follows all the normal vedic rituals. For the rest of the ceremony, the groom is to keep a tight hold of the bride’s hands. A golden thread (Mananmal) is tied to their foreheads. The sacred fire is lighted by the priest and the bride and groom take seven Pheras around the fire.

24:15 Posh puza – At the end of these rituals, the bride and the groom sit comfortably and a red cloth is placed over their heads. Friends and family gather around the couple and offer flowers or posh to the couple while Vedic mantras are being recited by the priest. First the mantras are directed towards the bride, followed by mantras directed towards the groom and finally they are directed towards the couple as one. By doing this they worship the couple and this rituals is thus name Posh Puza or worshipping with flowers. In Kashmiri traditions, the bride and the groom are representatives of Lord Shiva and Devi Parvati.

28:15- Welcoming of Bride- Groom's mother welcomes the bride to her new house and family and lifts the veil from her face. Family members and relatives give precious gifts to the bride and women sing traditional wedding songs.
