Legends of the Dead is Mid - Crusader Kings 3 DLC GIGACHAD Review

Here it is, my review of CK3's latest DLC, Legends of the Dead. The title is accurate, as I do consider the DLC to be mid, but I want it to be clear that "mid" is not "bad" but rather exactly as it sounds: it is in the middle.

Legends of the Dead could have been a lot more than what it is, but the ultimate result of it is a pretty mediocre, but competent enough DLC that is inoffensive. In many ways, it's nice to get a DLC that simply isn't bad, but Legends of the Dead definitely had me wanting more.

I loved its concepts, and it certainly is the right direction for CK3 DLCs in terms of its ethos, but it lacks depth and variety which makes it get old within just 2 or 3 playthroughs.

In this video, I explore the critiques I have of the DLC, and ways I think it could have been improved, as well as briefly looking at what exactly the DLC does. I offer my critiques in good faith, not looking to put down or hurt any developers, but instead offer up what I believe the DLC could use to elevate its status. I hope that viewers also look at the words I speak here in that light too.

Regardless of my thoughts, I believe this DLC will be well-received, as it does appeal to a lot of what the community is looking for. That should be commended, and Paradox ultimately has released a genuinely well-done DLC, in so far as it does what the community is asking for. I know that I'm a very picky player, and that I do not represent most players, so take all my opinions with a grain of salt.
