Trinidad Stewed Chicken Soup

As a child growing up in Trini, every Saturday my mom would wake up at wee hours of the morning and make a huge pot of chicken soup while we were sleeping, then she would leave for work and we would have lunch for the day. Umm no, that chicken soup finish by 11am because we eating that for breakfast.

Also, every time a lil' rain fall, she bubblin' a pot and we would all gather in front the tv and sip on some hearty soup.

When me or my siblings were ill, we always begged her to make it for us and we instantly got better after eating it.

I watched her make it and got the recipe but I tweaked it to my taste. This soup is filled with flavor from the stewed chicken, vegetables, provision, golden ray butter and the pepper. You won't be disappointed! Try it and let me know what you think! It's so comforting during fall and winter and even when you're sick.
