Sonata K209 by D. Scarlatti | Paola Hermosín

This is my version of Sonata K.209 in A Major by D. Scarlatti, this is one of my favorite baroque pieces! Although it was composed for harpsichord, it fits perfectly the guitar. The articulation is very important here, it gives the piece a special sound similar to the sound in the harpsichord. Scarlatti worked many years of his life as the musician of the Spanish Court, so he got influenced by the guitar (a very famous instrument in Spain in the Baroque period). Maybe that’s the reason because his music fits the guitar so well! Hope you love it❤️

Esta es mi versión de la Sonata K.209 en La Mayor de D. Scarlatti, ¡una de mis piezas favoritas del Barroco! Aunque fue compuesta para clave, se adapta a la guitarra perfectamente. La articulación aquí es muy importante, pues le da a la pieza un sonido similar al del clave. Scarlatti trabajó muchos años de su vida como músico de la Corte española, así que tuvo influencia de la música para guitarra (un instrumento muy presente en la música española barroca). ¡Tal vez esta sea la razón por la que su música se adapta tan bien a la guitarra!
