National Diversity Coalition's Giraffe Storytelling events were a resounding success in Los Angeles and San Diego! Over two weeks, we reached 25 schools (both in person and digitally) to discuss the importance of financial literacy with young minds.

Sheila Bair, former Chair of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), captivated students, parents, and teachers alike with her engaging storytelling. Her Money Tales children's book series, which explores topics like wants vs. needs, borrowing, savings, Ponzi schemes, reading contracts, supply and demand, and more, provided a fun and interactive way to learn about personal finance.

"I want to empower families to know how to protect themselves better, to know how to build wealth, save and not to lose money through common financial mistakes and children can start getting these lessons in at an early age"
Sheila Bair

The response to our events was overwhelming, and we are thrilled to have made a positive impact on so many young lives. We are already planning more Giraffe Storytelling events for 2025, so stay tuned for updates!

Thank you to all the schools, parents, and teachers who participated in our events. Your support is invaluable in helping us promote financial literacy among youth.
