The Jacked Bennies (aka The Jack Bennies aka The Jacjed Benzadrines) actually formed in 2011. It was one of the first four bands Idle had helped form after moving to New York. "We formed originally as The Tchotschies and after playing some shows out of NY we regrouped and stoped playing songs from idles previous bands and covers. We started Writing our own songs and changed our name. Reviews consider this band to be in the garage-rock genre. The band brought on three guitar players, offering a thick sound and plenty of idle edsels signiture feedback. idle wrote a song called Jack Benny when he was in his twenties, and this gave us the idea to call the band The Jacked Bennies. There are releases with variations of the name.

The band played many bars. They were there to help open many NY clubs such as Grand Victory, Cobra Club, El Cortez and so on in New York City. The Bennies played Bowery Electric, sidebar and K&M Bar Fontanas . And played many clubs that also arent around and many well known venues in New York City such as The Trash Bar, Grand Victory, Don Pedro’s and Hank’s Saloon.
They have done tours through New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Massachusetts, Virginia and other east coast States. We je;d a rehersal in the Summer of 2023 and never rule out more tours.
