What about those moments when self-care doesn’t feel good?

I know we love our feel good solitude moments of self-care. We love prioritizing ourselves in those moments and indulging in things that make us feel calm, relaxed, and content.

But what about the intentional acts of self-care that don’t feel good? Like healing....reframing negative self talk. Being honest with ourselves. Releasing guilt and shame and tearing down strongholds in the mind. Getting rid of the victim mentality and taking ownership. Whew.

I just recently gave myself the time dig deeper. That type of self-care is reserved for women are committed to doing the work. The inner work. The work that only happens when you’re minding your business.

P.s. I’m definitely planning some physical self care soon though because, I deserve.
