The Doctor of Nursing Practice - Family Nurse Practitioner (DNP-FNP) track of study prepares nurses with a prior bachelor or master degree in nursing for advanced nursing leadership and the clinical role of providing integrative primary care of families across culture and care settings. The FNP track emphasizes eliminating health inequities through peaceful, just, and collaborative actions that uphold and improve human potential. The liberal arts education is guided by the values of the Lutheran Church, students of all faiths are welcome to the program. Graduates will be eligible to apply for certification as Family Nurse Practitioners (FNPs) through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
