Kampala flyover foot bridge open to pedestrians.

Pedestrians are now able to use the walkway on the new Kampala Flyover after it was opened to the public. The Uganda National Roads Authority says the Uganda Police will conduct regular patrols on the walkway which will be lit at night. Construction of the project started in December 2018.
Uganda National roads authority (UNRA) opened the Kampala flyover pedestrian footbridge on Wednesday January 10 2023 at the clock tower section.
The Kampala Flyover was started as a result of the rapidly increasing traffic demand with in Kampala city with an overall objective of improving traffic flow within the greater Kampala Metropolitan Area by decongesting the central Business district of Kampala through the construction of flyovers, underpass, pedestrian bridges, road upgrading and improvement of junctions.
