Cherokee Total RECALL Lesson 0002 BET Vowels

The overall Total R.E.C.A.L.L. learning method is more like a "Photographic Mnemonic Language Learning" program. The Cherokee vowels are unique, therefore they need a unique phonetic representation in written form. Cherokee Total R.E.C.A.L.L. uses both the "Standard Transliteration" (more common version) plus the "B.E.T." (the Bickerdike Extended Transliteration) which is used to more specifically show the correct phonetic utterances. Knowing how to read, speak, and write the Cherokee Syllabary is a large part of our language, but even more than this is knowing how to utter our vowels correctly. Knowing the correct vowel sounds is a key step in learning how to speak the Cherokee language!
