Arizona U.S. Senate Debate
Senator Martha McSally (R-AZ) and U.S. Senate Democratic candidate Mark Kelly participated in a televised debate. The event was hosted by The Arizona Republic, Arizona PBS and the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism at Arizona State University and other state public radio and television stations. Senator McSally (R-AZ) lost her first Senate run in 2018, but was appointed later by Governor Doug Ducey (R-AZ) to the seat once held by the late Senator John McCain (R-AZ). Mark Kelly is a retired Navy combat pilot and NASA astronaut, and he is married to former U.S. Representative Gabby Giffords (D-AZ).
