A controversial plan called the Mini-Holland project is being pushed through in East Oxford, and it’s set to bring major changes to how people in Littlemore get around. The goal? To make it harder to drive your car.



Backed by £6 million from Oxfordshire County Council, this project will narrow roads, add more barriers to car traffic, and prioritize cyclists and pedestrians—whether residents like it or not. Streets could be blocked off, routes you’ve used for years may be redirected or closed to cars, and everyday errands could take even longer.



Supporters say it will make the area “more liveable,” but for many locals, it means more traffic on main roads, more difficulty getting to work, and less freedom to travel how and when they want.



Groups like Oxfordshire Liveable Streets, made up mostly of activists and campaigners like XR Zuhura Plumber have been pushing this agenda with little concern for how it affects people who rely on their cars—parents, the elderly, tradespeople, and those with mobility issues.



And while the County Council is behind the scheme, it’s unclear how much say, if any, Littlemore residents will have in the decision. “ it’s happening regardless”

Oxford County Council is run by extremist anti car, anti SMEs zealots who stopped working in the majority of residents interests years ago and must be voted out on May 1st

Oxford City & Littlemore Parish Independent Councillors along with the Chair of Littlemore Parish Council confronted the extremists but were excluded from any dialogue




In short, the Mini-Holland plan may sound like a nice idea on paper, but in reality, it will make daily life harder for people who live and work in Littlemore.
