Ice Fishing Fish Lake, UTAH / Big Splake and Lake Trout

The fellas had success jigging for these beautiful hybrid trout known as Splake which is a combination of a Lake trout and brook trout. The beautiful fish make for a fun trip and can get fairly large in these waters. We had no luck with a monster lake trout at this years annual trip but you can check out our trip from last year for a giant mackinaw. The hot bit typically comes on a tube jug tipped with chubb meat. The more shallow you go the more small turkeys might bite including more tiger trout and Perch. The deeper you go the more likely you are to locate a lake trout.
